On Sunday, I went for my first whitewater rafting trip in South American River. The trip was managed by All-Outdoors. The rapids were Class III (check out the wikipedia article for various classes).

From 2009-09-27 Rafting in South Fork American River – Level III

The trip was a lot of fun! Our guide was very experienced and made us negotiate the rapids in a variety of ways. Once, he made the raft go in circles through the rapids. Another time, he made us sit tightly inside while the raft made a surprise jump into water, making us all really wet. A couple of our guide’s friends followed us in a kayak and we engaged in friendly water fights.
