Route in brief: From the parking lot on Cull Canyon Road, walk towards Columbia Drive and cross over to the other side. Look for signs for 'Chabot to Garin Regional Trail'. Follow this trail for 6.1 miles to reach intersection with Ramage Peak Trail. Continue along Chabot to Garin Regional Trail for 1.0 miles to reach EBMUD Chabot Staging Area. Exit the staging area and follow signs for entering Anthony Chabot Regional Park. Then follow Willow View Trail → Brandon Trail all the way to Proctor Staging Area.

Notes:

1. There were two creek crossings along Chabot-to-Garin Regional Trail without bridges. We were able to hop over stones without getting wet.
2. Finding the trail across Columbia Drive next to the "Tunnel" was a bit tricky despite signs.

Directions: From I-580 East, take exit 37 for Grove Way toward Crow Canyon Rd. Turn left onto Grove Way. In 0.2 miles, continue onto Crow Canyon Road. In 0.5 miles, turn left onto Cull Canyon Road. In 0.7 miles, there is a parking lot for Cull Canyon on the left.

Directions: From I-580 East, take exit 36A for Redwood Rd toward Castro Valley. In 0.3 miles, turn left onto Redwood Road. In 2.2 miles, Proctor Staging Area is on the left.
