Route

Route in brief: Starting at MacDonald Gate Staging Area for Anthony Chabot Regional Park, follow McDonald Trail (2.4 miles) → right onto a connector just before Bort Meadow Staging Area (0.1 miles) → left onto Grass Valley Trail (1.5) miles to reach 'Stone Bridge' → left onto Brandon Trail (5.0 miles)→ right to a trail that meanders next to Redwood Road (0.4 miles) to reach Proctor Staging Area.

Directions: From I-580 East, take exit 36A for Redwood Rd toward Castro Valley. In 0.3 miles, turn left onto Redwood Road. In 2.2 miles, Proctor Staging Area is on the left.
