Indian Beach (2.4 miles): From Hearts Desire Beach, walk all along the beach to Indian Beach (0.6 miles). During low tide conditions, it is possible to walk along Indian Beach for almost 0.6 miles one-way. Return by the same route.

To Shell Beach (3.5 miles): From Hearts Desire Beach, walk along Jepson Trail (1.0 miles) → right on Johnstone Trail (2.5 miles) to Shell Beach.

To Hearts Desire Beach (4.4 miles): From Shell Beach, follow Johnstone Trail (2.6 miles) to intersection with Jepson Trail. Continue along Johnstone Trail (1.8 miles) to Hearts Desire Beach. The last section goes via Pebble Beach.

Indian Beach has Miwok settlements. An extended walk along a rocky shoreline is feasible in sufficiently low tide conditions
