A fantastic route through green rolling hills and beaches with great ocean views.

Location: Marin Headlands

Route: Lagoon Trail → Miwok Trail → Wolf Ridge Trail → Coastal Trail to Rodeo Beach. Cross over to the other side of the beach. Then hike along an unnamed trail to reach a paved road close to YWCA and Battery Mendell. Make a trip to Point Bonita, then return along the road to Visitor Center parking lot. There is a short (~ 0.5 mile) trail to the left of Battery Mendell that's worthy of exploration.

Notes:

1. In May 2010, the tunnel to Point Bonita Lighthouse was open only on Sat, Sun and Mon from 12:30pm to 3:30pm. Please check hours of operation so that you may time your hike appropriately.Point Bonita Lighthouse brochure.
2. This hike may also be started at Rodeo Beach parking lot.
