Route

Route: At the trail head, you may first visit the Whalewatching Overlook, which adds about 0.2 miles round-trip to the hike. Then follow a paved road to Lighthouse Visitor Center. Beyond the visitor center, you have to descend along stairs with more than 300 steps, which is the equivalent of a 30-storeyed building.

Trailhead

Location: (Point Reyes Lighthouse Parking Lot) at the eastern end of Sir Francis Drake Blvd, Inverness, CA 94937 . No street address. Parking area is visible in Google Maps if you zoom in sufficiently.

Directions: From US-101 North, take exit 450B towards San Anselmo, then merge onto Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Continue 41.5 miles along Sir Francis Drake Blvd to reach the parking lot for Point Reyes Lighthouse.
