Route

Route in brief: Follow Upper Fisherman's Trail (0.2 miles) to reach the beach. The descent is about 300 ft and involves going down a series of steps. Then walk in either direction to explore the beach (1.2 miles). Return by following Upper Fisherman's Trail (0.2 miles).

Relatively secluded beach full of black sand.

Location: Along Conzelman Road, Sausalito, CA 94956 . No street address. Parking area is visible in Google Maps if you zoom in sufficiently.

Directions: Study the Trail Map for Marin Headlands for hopping onto Conzelman Road from Highway 101. Conzelman Road is one-way.
