This route offers beautiful views of Silicon Valley and hills, especially on a foggy day.

Go along North Rim Trail, then turn right on Todd Quick Trail. Then loop around Boccardo Trail, taking a side trip to the peak. Return via Todd Quick and North Rim trails.

Directions: Drive to the GPS address above, go through the kiosk at Alum Rock Park entrance. Continue driving along Penitentia Creek Road until you reach a parking lot for Youth Science Institute.
