Route: Walk along the coastline for as long as is convenient. In May 2011, we walked a little beyond Horseshoe Pond for a 3-mile round-trip hike.
Notes: See Yelp reviews for Drake's Rock. The water is calm enough that swimming is possible. Before you swim or do beach hikes, you should read Safety Tips for Point Reyes Beaches. For example, one safety tip is to watch out for 'sneaker waves'. Next to the beach is Drake's Beach Cafe where we had lunch - food was pretty good.
