Trail Maps

» Official Trail Map: Good map showing various trails.

» Redwoodhikes Trail Map: Great map showing many parks like Purisima Creek, Huddart, Wunderlich, El Corte De Madera, Foothills, Hidden Villa and Rancho San Antonio. Trail maps for individual parks are available online for free. However, the RedwoodHikes map shows the big picture and is helpful for planning hikes that go through multiple parks.

Route

Trailhead: Main parking lot inside Edgewood Park.

Route: Follow Edgewood Trail for 1.2 miles and Serpentine Loop for 0.9 miles. Then take Live Oak Trail for 0.1 miles and follow Ridgeview Loop for 1.1 miles, returning to Live Oaks Trail for 0.1 miles. Go along Serpentine Loop for 0.2 miles. Then follow Sylvan Loop for 1.5 miles, Franciscan Trail for 0.4 miles, Serpentine Loop for 0.4 miles and Edgewood Trail for 1.1 miles.

Notes: There are too many trails and intersections in Edgewood, so take a trail map with you. Edgewood Trail, Ridgeview Loop and Sylvan Loop are mostly shaded, meandering through a forest. The portion of Serpentine Loop close to Highway 280 is less attractive because of traffic noise.
