Trail Maps

» Official Trail Map: Pretty good map showing various trails.

» Redwoodhikes Trail Map: Great map showing many parks like Purisima Creek, Huddart, Wunderlich, El Corte De Madera, Foothills, Hidden Villa and Rancho San Antonio. Trail maps for individual parks are available online for free. However, the RedwoodHikes map shows the big picture and is helpful for planning hikes that go through multiple parks.

Route

1) To Long Bunny Loop trail head (0.3 miles): We started at the main parking lot which is inside Hidden Villa, next to Hidden Villa Summer Camp. We walked 0.3 miles along the paved road, towards Duveneck House (see trail map). The trail head was marked by a sign saying "Long Bunny Loop".

2) Long Bunny Loop (1.6 miles): A pleasant 500-ft climb followed by 500-ft descent, all along a shaded trail. The trail ends in a pleasant picnic area which lies at the confluence of Adobe Creek and Middle Fork Creek. This is a beautiful spot, very serene.

3) Creek Trail (0.6 miles): Meanders along Adobe Creek — the most pleasant section in this route.

4) Grapevine Trail (0.4 miles): Climbs a couple of hundred feet and connects with Hostel Trail.

5) Hostel Trail (1.1 miles): Provides panoramic views of Silicon Valley. Climbs to Elephant Mountain, then descends steadily to the paved road near the parking lot where we started the hike.
