Route

Trailhead: Close to Golden State Model Railroad Museum on Dornan Drive.

Route: Climb up an unnamed trail, turn right on Old Country Road, continuing up to West Ridge Point, which offers great views of the fishing pier and the bay. Continue along West Ridge Trail to reach "False Gun". Make a side trip along a paved road to see views at "East Vista Point" and return to "False Gun". Continue along Crest Trail to reach "Nicholl Knob" which offers great views. Continue along a paved trail. Just before the trail reaches the park boundary, turn left on Marine View Trail. Turn right on an unnamed trail to reach the parking lot (see trail map for details). Many steep trails along this route.

Location: 900 Dornan Drive, Richmond, CA 94801 . Parking area is visible in Google Maps if you zoom in sufficiently.

Directions: From I-580 West, take exit 8 for Canal Blvd toward Garrard Blvd, then turn left onto Canal Blvd, then right onto W Cutting Blvd, then left onto S Garrard Blvd. In 0.3 miles, continue onto Dornan Drive. Within 0.6 miles, Miller-Knox park entrance is on the right.
