Trailhead: Parking lot in front of Golden State Model Railroad Museum.

Route in brief: Walk along a paved trail around the lake. Also, make a trip to the Fishing Pier shown in the bottom-left corner of the trail map.

Location: 900 Dornan Drive, Richmond, CA 94801 . Parking area is visible in Google Maps if you zoom in sufficiently.

Directions: From I-580 West, take exit 8 for Canal Blvd toward Garrard Blvd, then turn left onto Canal Blvd, then right onto W Cutting Blvd, then left onto S Garrard Blvd. In 0.3 miles, continue onto Dornan Drive. Within 0.6 miles, Miller-Knox park entrance is on the right.
