An exceptionally beautiful park so close to Oakland with well maintained hiking trails. Once inside the park, there is no traffic noise. It is calm and serene. In Dec 2011, all trails were shaded, green and cool. Two trails were especially gorgeous: Palos Colorados Trail and Sinawik Loop Trail. There are many intersections in this park. A few junctions have no signposts. So a good trail map is necessary.
