Hikes in Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park
1 Jan 2012
Julia Pfeiffer Burns is the crown jewel of Big Sur parks. It contains two of the most pleasant routes in Big Sur: Ewoldsen Trail and Tan Bark Trail. It also provides access to a gorgeous waterfall (McWay Falls) and a cove (Partington Cove). Since a forest fire in 2007, many trails have been closed. Moreover, windy conditions sometimes litter trails with fallen trees. So call park authorities and check their website for trail closures before you go.
