Martin Luther King Jr Regional Shoreline provides a 3.5-mile walk along a paved bike trail from the northern end of the park to the southern end. The trail may be accessed at various other points.

Parking: Free parking at various trail heads (from north to south on the trail map):

1. Tidewater Staging — next to Tidewater Boating Center.
2. Peppermint Gate parking lot — next to Oakland Sports Complex.

4. Garretson Point Staging
5. Elmhurst Staging
6. Parking lot near Observation Area — car access via Swan Road.
7. Parking lot near King Fisher Picnic Area — car access via Swan Road.
