Hikes in Samuel P Taylor State Park
1 Jan 2012

Samuel P Taylor State Park is a small park close to Inverness, CA. It has evergreen trees like redwoods, creeks and open spaces, all in the same park.

Best Months to Visit: In spring, valleys are lush green and creeks are flowing after rainfall. So the best months are March - May. In summers, avoid Barnabe Fire Road and Bolinas Ridge Fire Road - the rest of the trails are mostly shaded. Autumn and winters are generally okay.

Traffic noise: Sir Francis Drake Boulevard cuts right through the park. Almost all campsites and several trails (Cross Marin Trail, North Creek Trail and South Creek Trail) are parallel to this boulevard. So you can hear traffic in these places.
