Hikes in Tilden Regional Park

Tilden Regional Park is a popular park in Berkeley — Oakland area in California. Apart from hiking trails, there are picnic areas, swimming at Lake Anza (Yelp), Merry-Go-Round (Yelp), Little Farm (Yelp) with farm animals for kids, Steam Trains (Yelp) and so on.

Best Months to Visit: Any time of the year except after rains when trails become muddy. It's best to visit in winters and spring because the forest is lush green. Some trails are in the open, so avoid summers.

Adjoining parks:

  1. Tilden Regional Park is to the south of Wildcat Canyon. Routes may be formed by combining trails from both parks.
  2. Routes may also be formed by combining trails San Pablo Reservoir by using Eagles Nest Trail, Old San Pablo Trail and Inspiration Trail.
  3. The 32-mile East Bay Skyline National Recreational Trail goes through Tilden Regional Park.
