The song 'Khaabon Ke Parindey' from the movie Zindagi Na Mile Dobara (2011) is picturesque. Its scenes bring back memories of hundreds of hiking trips I did from 2009 to 2013 :)
Two lines are prominent in the song. The opening line is उड़ें खुले आसमां में ख़ाबों के परिंदे. Translation: "Flying, in the open skies, are the birds of (our) dreams!" It reminds me of Jonathan Linvingston Seagull, a novel by Richard Bach. The ending line of the first two stanzas is ओहो ! अब तो, जो भी हो सो हो. Translation: "O, now, whatever will be will be!" It reminds me of the song Que Sera Sera.
Jonathan Livingston Seagull (1970, 126 pages) by Richard Bach became a New York Times bestseller in 1972. The book is merely 126 pages long. It narrates an inspiring story of a seagull who is bored of his regular routine existence and starts flying.. only to be outcast by his flock. But he meets other like minded seagulls who teach him how to fly higher and higher. In the process, Jonathan discovers freedom. An online copy of the book: here (pdf). The story of Jonathan Livingston Seagull reminds me of my passions over the last six years. In my journey, I continually discover like-minded people. Some are experts, some are good friends, and some are angels who help me at the right time.
A friend shared this couplet by Majrooh Sultanpuri:
मैं अकेला ही चला था जानिब ए मंज़िल मगर
लोग साथ आते गये और कारवाँ बनता गया
Translation: "I started all alone towards the destination. But people kept joining and the caravan kept growing." The couplet inspires us to pursue our dreams and enjoy a flight in the skies :)
