Maine Poochha Chand Se (1980) captivated me today morning :)

Each stanza ends with the poet asking the moon, the garden, the goblet and the poets if they had seen somebody as beautiful as his beloved. Each of them produces something exquisite. The moon produces moonlight. The garden produces buds and flowers. A goblet of wine produces intoxication. Poets produce poetry. All of them agree that they have never witnessed anything as beautiful as the poet's beloved, whose beauty is beyond their imagination :)

Translation: I asked the moon if he had seen anybody as gorgeous as my beloved. The moon said, "I swear by moonlight. No, no, no."

I asked the garden if there was such a flower (like my beloved) in the sky (the heavens) or on earth. The garden said, "I swear by the buds. No, no, no."

I asked the goblet if there was such wine (like my beloved) in the sky (the heavens) or on earth. The goblet said, "I swear by drinking. No, no, no."

I asked the poets if there was a couplet as captivating as my beloved. The poets said, "I swear by poetry. No, no no."
