Nice walk through marshlands and sloughs without any elevation gain. Especially awesome at sunrise and sunset.
Location: Palo Alto Baylands
» Official Trail Map: Good map showing various hiking trails with mileage information.
The route is particularly scenic early morning or just before sunset. Shadows of clouds in the water and the presence of many birds makes it a peaceful experience in nature.
Follow a paved road for about a quarter mile, ignoring a paved road that joins from the left and another that joins from the right. The road soon becomes a dirt road and meanders next to sloughs and marshlands. Keep following signs for Adobe Creek Trail until reaching a bridge, where the trail makes a sharp left. On the right, there is a bench for admiring nature. Retrace your steps back to the parking lot from this point.
Magnificent colors in the sky at dawn and dusk.
