An interesting hike through redwoods and green rolling hills in a rarely visited part of Purisima Creek.

Route: Grabtown Gulch Trail (0.3 miles) → Borden Hatch Mill Trail (0.2 miles) → Bald Knob Trail (1.3 miles) → Irish Ridge Trail (1.2 miles). Return by same route.

Notes:

1. You may extend this hike by hiking along Lobitos Creek Trail as well. This trail is very scenic, amid cool redwoods. Beyond the 1-mile mark, the trail is unmaintained — it's best to turn back unless you are comfortable with bush-whacking and confident that you can find your way back.
2. Bald Knob and Irish Ridge Trail are in the open, unshaded — avoid summers for this hike.

4. No facilities or maps available at trail head. You may pick maps from the main Park Entrance on Skyline Blvd (see official trail map for its location).
5. This section of the park is relatively quiet — you are likely to meet very few hikers.

Location: along Tunitas Creek Rd, Redwood City, CA 94062 . No street address. Parking area is not visible in Google Maps.

Directions: From 280 North, take 84 West. Right on Kings Mountain Rd. Drive all the way to intersection with Highway 35. Cross the highway to continue along Tunitas Creek Rd. In 2.0 miles, The trailhead would be on your right (marked "PC04"). Alternately, from Highway 92, go 6.5 miles south on Highway 35 (Skyline Boulevard). Turn right (west) onto Tunitas Creek Road. About 2 miles down the road, the trail head is marked "PC04".
