Great long hike through varied terrain including shoreline walks and green rolling hills.

Trailhead: Parking lot at China Camp Point.

Route in brief: Shoreline Trail → Peacock Gap Trail → Oak Ridge Trail → Bay View Trail → Shoreline Trail. Take a short detour to encircle Turtle Back Hill (0.65 miles). You may also spend some time at a small beach at Bullhead Flat.

Location: along N Sen Pedro Road, San Rafael, CA 94901 (0.7 miles north of its intersection with Biscayne Drive) . No street address. Parking area is visible in Google Maps if you zoom in sufficiently.

Directions: From US-101 North, take exit 452 toward Central San Rafael, then turn right onto 2nd St and drive 0.3 miles. Continue onto 3rd St and drive 0.4 miles. Turn slightly left onto Point San Pedro Road and drive for 4.8 miles. The parking lot for China Camp State Park is on the right.
