Route
If you parked on Mission Blvd, then walk along the sidewalk parallel to Pine St until you a sign for Mission Peak Regional Preserve (0.3 miles). Then follow Peak Trail all the way to the summit (3.2 miles). From Mission Peak summit, continue south along Bay Area Ridge Trail (2.4 miles). I really like this section of the hike — the views on either side of the trail are awesome and elevation gain is little.

Notes:

  1. There are several unmarked intersections along the route. So a trail map would be handy.
  2. There is a restroom, conveniently located about 0.7 miles away from Mission Peak (see trail map for is location).
  3. It is usually windy at the top.
