A pleasant hike over green rolling hills and through three lakes. Plenty of wildflowers in spring.
Location: Pacheco State Park

Route in brief: Spikes Peak Road → South Boundary Trail → Canyon Loop Trail → Dinosaur Lake Trail
Notes: In April 2011, South Boundary Loop Trail was not in great shape. Grass had overgrown for several large section to the extent that we could not see the trail any more. Twice, we had to walk on hills to search for the continuation of the trail. Two to three signposts were missing or broken. We never felt lost because the 'Southern Park Fence' was clearly visible from afar. See EveryTrail link for this trip.
Location: 38787 Dinosaur Point Road, Hollister, CA . Parking area is visible in Google Maps if you zoom in sufficiently.
