In the articles so far, we focused on the concept of 'acceptance' in Sufi & Bhakti poetry. However, there is another concept that is described often: love! What's the relationship between love and acceptance?

Acceptance and love are two sides of the same coin. When we accept something, we become openhearted and loving towards it. Likewise, when we love something fully, we accept it wholeheartedly. Either way, we experience peace and joy within. In other words, all four of these go together: love, acceptance, peace and joy. These are four different manifestations / descriptions of a 'state of being' which is hard to describe otherwise.

In Acceptance Poetry, we explored Sufi & Bhakti compositions that emphasize acceptance via annihilation of the ego. In this article, we'll explore some compositions that emphasize love.

Acceptance is a delicate concept. So is love. Let Go, Find Peace is a wonderful article that explains acceptance and how it differs from other concepts like resignation, apathy, nihilism and 'becoming a vegetable'.
